When you first start playing 23/7 Twenty Three Seven, the combat system can seem a little Chaotic, but once you get to know what different things do the combat becomes a lot more interesting. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand the combat system of the game.
First things first, in 23/7, there are 3 main stances in combat, Accelerator, Charge, and Shield. Asides from these stances, During stages, player’s action will fill the Bullet Gauge.
Accelerator – Swipe Left
Accelerator Mode is the primary Attack mode. This mode activates your character’s Accelerator skills, these are usually the damage dealing skills. Support Skills charge faster in Accelerator mode.
Charge – Swipe Down
Charge Mode, triggers the Charge skills of the characters in your team. These are typically Buffs and Debuffs. Additionally, when in Charge Mode, the Bullet Gauge fills up
Shield – Swipe Right
Shield Mode puts a shield around your team. When in shield mode, your team blocks a small percentage of incoming damage. The damage reduces your shield bar rather than your HP In Boss Raids, Shield mode also adds points to the healing gauge on the top right corner.
Bullet Time
Activates Bullet Time Skill. During Bullet time, time flows slower for enemies, allowing players to deal massive amounts of Damage.
Combat Breakdown
There are a few things that you need to know before jumping into combat. In 23/7 Twenty Three Seven, each stage has a different invulnerable duration (see below). During combat, the invulnerable duration will countdown, and when the time is out, your team will start taking damage. For the early stages of the game, the invulnerable duration is incredibly generous, but as you progress further, Shield will become essential. Certain stages like Boss Raids will not have an invulnerable duration.
Each enemy you face in-game will have their general information displayed (HP Bar, Element, Weakness). On the topic of enemies, before enemies attack, a small exclamation mark will pop up beside them. This is a good indicator to switch to Shield Mode to reduce the damage taken. Early on because of the generous invulnerable duration, it is easy to ignore, but during Boss Raids it is essential to swap to Shield Mode if you wish to progress further.
(see above) To the right, you have your Helper and your Support Characters. These offer different skills depending on the character. The button at the bottom right corner hides your supporters. Next to that, you have your HP bar (top) and Shield (bottom), needless to say when you no longer have invulnerability and the bar is empty then you fail the stage.
Guardians
After reaching Stage 4-11 in the main quest, you’ll receive your first Guardian. Guardians are additional stat boosts. What makes Guardians special is that they raise your maximum Shield Capacity. This means that you’ll be able to block more damage before taking direct HP dmg.
Tips & Reminders:
3-Star Clear
To clear Quests with 3-stars, in most cases you will need to:
-Clear the quest
-Activate Bullet Time at least once
-Clear all areas
So be sure to focus on more than just killing everything asap!
Plan your Support Skills
Different characters have different skills, the same applies to when they are put in the support position. Certain skills will apply buffs and debuffs. Make the most out of Bullet Time, be sure to apply any buff or debuff before you activate it.
SHIELD!
Due to the generous invulnerability duration early game, it is easy to ignore the need to activate Shield Mode. Be sure to use Shield Mode, especially during Boss Raids, to get into the habit before reaching the high-level Boss Raids where they are essential.
