Anime movie Natsume Yuujinchou the Movie: Utsusemi ni Musubu (劇場版 夏目友人帳 ～うつせみに結ぶ～) will arrive at Japan’s theater on 29th September 2018, according to its announcement in AnimeJapan 2018.
The movie is made to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Natsume Yuujinchou’s TV anime. It is an original story supervised by the series’ creator/mangaka Yuki Midorikawa (緑川ゆき) and directed by Takahiro Omori at Shuka.
Not much about the plot is known so far. In the on-going orginal manga serialised since 2005, the protagonist Takashi Natsume is a high school student with a special power that allows him to see Ayakashi (spirits). Ever since his grandma’s death, he is in possession of her Book of Friends, in which she collected a long list of Ayakashi names! Later joined by an inugami called Madaras, Takashi spends time releasing the spirits from Book of Friends.
