Yesterday (10th December), Capcom streamed a special Monster Hunter: World (MHW) program revealing new information on the game, including the first major DLC for the game and a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collaboration.
First off, the upcoming updates will introduce the Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth and the long-awaited Arch-Tempered Nergigante.
Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth will be another 16-man co-op raid mission. The arch-tempered version will feature new weapons. All previous weapons will also be available. Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth will be available from 20th December until 4th January. Capcom has revealed that Kulve Taroth will not be making a return after this event.
Nergigante is the flagship monster of MHW. Capcom has revealed that in the major update coming in Spring 2019, will bring the Arch-Tempered Nergigante.
▍Witcher 3 Collaboration
Falling from a portal, Wither 3’s Geralt of Rivia comes to MHW. In the collaboration, the Witcher 3 RPG experience will come to MHW as special quests. The original voice actor of Geralt will also voice the character in MHW in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and even Monster Hunter language.
▍MHW: Iceborne
MHW: Iceborne is the first major DLC for MHW. Capcom has revealed that the DLC will bring the series’ iconic “G Rank” to the game. At the end of the trailer, Capcom seemed to have teased the arrival of Nagarcuga.
▍One-Year Anniversary Event
The One-Year Anniversary event will decorate the Gathering Hub. Special Event Quests will reward players with materials to create event exclusive gears. Special Poogie outfits will also be available.
