On 2nd March, Aniplex and Quatro A revealed the core gameplay and information on their co-created mobile Touhou Project game, Touhou Cannonball.
Touhou Cannonball was first announced back in October 2018, it will be the first official Touhou Project mobile titled. The core gameplay will be similar to Monopoly. Players will have to collect cannonballs and battle against the other three players.
▍Combat System
When players land on the combat tile on the board, they will enter a 1-vs-1 battle. The winner will be rewarded with a cannonball. the Spell Cards iconic to the Touhou Project series will also be available in the game.
▍Characters
Touhou Cannonball is expected to feature over a hundred different characters from the Touhou Project series. Every character can be upgraded to the highest rarity. Officials has promised that all the characters will be obtainable through the gacha.
Additionally, when characters reach a certain rarity, their 3D model will also be upgraded and they will appear in Live 2D forms in the story mode.
Touhou Cannonball is expected for release in 2019.
