A TV anime adaptation was confirmed for Yasuyuki Kosaka’s manga Hōkago Teibō Nisshi /Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (放課後ていぼう日誌) on 15th April, alongside the release of the official website and Twitter account.
A teaser visual, which features the main cast fishing on the pier, as well as a celebratory illustration by Kosaka was revealed to celebrate the good news.
▍About the Series
The fishing manga follows the story of Hina and her friends. Hina is an introvert who always stays indoors and makes crafts, but after moving to a seaside town, she meets Kuroiwa, a senpai who is a member of the mysterious “Embankment Club.” Hina joins the Club due to the persistent persuasion of Kuroiwa. Although Hina is not a fan of sea creatures, she gradually starts to appreciate the appeal of the ocean after fishing with the eccentric club members.
Kosaka launched the manga in Young Champion Retsu magazine in February 2017 as his first series. Akita Shoten released the manga’s third compiled book volume in November, and the fourth is expected to release on April 19.
