TV anime adaptation of Akeshi Hinata’s (日向武史) basketball manga series Ahiru no Sora (あひるの空) streams a new PV and confirms 2nd October on air. The anime will run for four cours.
The PV gives a sneak peek of the hot-blooded story of the Kuzuryū High School basketball team, which is formed by a group of delinquents. The passion of the protagonist, Sora, gradually stirs the emotion of his teammates and the people around them. The anime’s ending theme song, Tsubasa (Wings), performed by saji, is also featured in the video.
Action Heroine Cheer Fruits (アクションヒロイン チアフルーツ) director Keizou Kusakawa (草川 啓造) is credited as chief director of the anime, while Aho-Girl (アホガール) director Shingo Tamaki (玉木 慎吾) is directing the anime at diomedea. Go Zappa (雑破 業) is in charge of series composition and Yoshino Honda(本多 美乃) is designing the characters.
▍Story
The story centers around protagonist Sora Kurumatani, a high school student who loves basketball even though he is only 149 cm tall.
After entering Kuzuryu High, Sora tries to join the basketball club to fulfil a promise to his mother, “ to win his first tournament in high school”. But the club is dominated by a crowd of delinquents. Affected by Sora’s passion, they gradually fall in love with playing basketball.
