The key visual and 1st PV is revealed for the TV anime adaptation of mystery novel “Fugō Keiji ” (富豪刑事), a work by Tsutsui Yasutaka (筒井 康隆), who is the writer of “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” (時をかける少女) and “Nihon Igai Zenbu Chinbotsu” (日本以外全部沈没). It will premiere in Spring 2020.
Under the title of “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited”, the anime series is directed by “Sword Art Online” director Tomohiko Ito ( 伊藤 智彦) and animated by CloverWorks.
Team B.U.L is credited for drafting the story, and “Haikyu!!” scriptwriter Taku Kishimoto (岸本 卓) is supervising and writing the series scripts. “The Seven Deadly Sins’” Keigo Sasaki (佐々木 啓悟) is designing the characters.

▍Story
The story follows the incredibly wealthy Daisuke Kanbe (神戸大助) who audaciously solves cases in unconventional ways. Though the original novel is set in the 1970s, the anime moves the setting into the modern day. Kanbe is assigned to the “Modern Crimes Task Unit” — a unit created to keep problematic officers away from others. There, Kanbe becomes partners with Katō Haru (加藤 春).
