A new commercial and visual is revealed for the TV anime adaptation of Miya Kazuki’s light novel series Ascendance of a Bookworm (本好きの下剋上～司書になるためには手段を選んでいられません～). The second season of the anime is confirmed to premiere in 4th April.

The series revolves around a certain book aficionado college girl who dies of an accident and is reborn as a sickly five-year-old girl named Maine in another world. Despite having a sickly body, her greatest distress is the lack of books due to the world’s low literacy rate. In the face of this distress, she resolves herself to make books and one day become a librarian.

▍Staff and Production
The anime’s first part premiered last October, and ended on 25th December with 14 episodes.
The series is animated by Ajia-do Animation Works and directed by Mitsuru Hongo (本郷みつる), with Mariko Kunisawa (國澤真理子) handling series composition, Yoshiaki Yanagida (柳田義明) and Toshihisa Kaiya (海谷敏久) designing the characters.
▍OVA Confirmed
Two OVA episodes called “A House Call to Ms. Coleena” and “Yustux’ Master Plan for Downtown Infiltration” will be released on 10th March, 2020. The two stories will happen between the anime’s first and second part.
