Earlier today PlayStation’s Official YouTube channel released a new gameplay video showcasing some of the things players can do in the upcoming NieR:Automata for PS4.
In the almost 30 minutes footage, reveals parts of the game’s system which was not revealed before. Starting with small trivial features, the video shows a fishing feature which players can enjoy during their NieR:Automata experience.
Another interesting feature the video shows is the game’s Reliquary System (resurrection). Upon Player death, player’s memories are uploaded into a new android body which is then sent back to earth so players can continue their adventures. Players can go back to where they died and decide what they want to do with the previous body. Firstly, players can repair the body and have it help you in your adventures. Alternatively, players can scavenge their previous body for resources for future upgrades. It was also revealed that the previous body can be corrupted and become an enemy. Players who defeat their old body in combat will receive a bonus, but as to what kind of bonus, players will have to wait and try themselves when the game comes out.
