In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the TV anime “Aria” (アリア), the new anime film “Aria the Crepusculo” will open in Japan’s theatre in Spring 2021. A teaser visual, video, additional cast and staff are revealed.
The anime project is based on a brand new story created by “Aria’s” mangaka Kozue Amano (天野こずえ). Junichi Sato (佐藤順一), who directed all previous Aria anime, returns as chief director and scriptwriter, while Takahiro Natori (名取孝浩), an episode director and storyboarder from previous Aria anime, is the new director at J.C. Staff.
Ryou Hirohashi (広橋涼) and Ai Kayano (茅野愛衣) reprise their roles as Alice Carroll and Anya Dostoyevskaya, respectively. As previously announced, Rina Satou (佐藤利奈) will play the character Athena Glor, replacing the late Tomoko Kawakami from previous anime adaptation.

Autumn comes when the city of Neo-Venice is decorated with a carpet of fallen leaves.
Anya is worried about something as she spends her days training at Orange Planet. Her senior Alice and Athena haven’t seen each other for a long time as they are extremely busy. In contrast to Athena who is upset about the situation, Alice seems to be avoiding meeting Athena.
With the help of Ai and Azusa, Anya decides to find ways to help Alice and Athena meet each other. Anya realized that it was a “scenery” that only she could see now….
