Overview

The game follows Tachibana Kisa (立花希佐), a girl attending prestigious male-only academy “Universe Drama School” where the students play both male and female parts, referred to as “Jacks” and “Jeannes” respectively. There, she must conceal her secret while fighting her way to the top – in other words, the lead role in the last play of the year.

Ishida is credited with the original work and character designs. He also worked on the world design, in-game illustrations, and inserted song lyrics for the game. Tokyo Ghoul light novel series writer Shin Towada (十和田シン) worked on the game’s scenario alongside Ishida. The project also reveals plan for an anime adaptation, CD and mobile game.

JACKJEANNEGameplay

The game will feature visual novel and rhythm game elements. According to an announcement made by Broccoli, the game will have “20 novels” worth of story. The options of the players will affect the intimacy levels of the characters and thus affect the ending.

The game will be divided into two parts: Daily School Life and Performance. Players will have to nurture the protagonist (do training) in daily life so that she has enough skills to perform successfully on the stage.

The Performance’s scenario will feature rhythm game, which features lyrics by Ishida and choreography by dancer Seishiroto.
