“Monster Hunter Rise” features an open-world style, which allows players to freely explore in the Monster Hunter World, with each environment existing as a seamless, single locale. The game also supports an online co-op system with up to 4 players.

According to Capcom, verticality is a key focus in “Rise.” Players will have access to a new Clutch-Claw-like tool known as the Wirebug, a sort of hookshot enabling hunters to climb and swing up to places normally out of reach. You can also do combo attacks with this new tool.
■ Dog Companion, Palamutes
New dog companions, Palamutes will be available to carry hunters across large continents without depleting stamina. But that’s not all Palamutescan do, they also serve as fearless, attacker-type fighting companions.
Single-player hunters are able to have two sidekicks with them during a hunt, and can mix and match between Palamutes or returning cat-like Palicoes as they choose.
■ Kamura Village
Kamura Village is the new base of operations. This village, known for its Tatara Steel, is where hunters make their living. The Rampage, a calamity that ravaged the village 50 years ago, is about to occur again, so the inhabitants are in turmoil. The hero has to become the best hunter there is and overcome this calamity with the help of all the villagers.
