Square Enix today (25th September) reveals the gameplay footage for its upcoming rhythm game “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” during a special live stream at the Tokyo Game Show 2020.
The game is set to release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Japan on 11th November 2020, worldwide on 13th November 2020.
A playable demon of “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” is also set to release in mid-October. Details will be revealed later.
▍Gameplay
The rhythm gameplay will provide 3 difficulties, including One-Button Style, Normal Style and Performance Style, while the Performance Style requires the highest techniques.
There are also 3 different stage variations. The Field Battle allows players to battle different enemies according to rhythms. It features over 140 songs from the “Kingdom Hearts” franchise, as well as songs from the Disney films featured in the series. Over 20 characters will be playable.
Memory Dive allows player to rewatch music and cinematic cutscenes from the series, while players can battle against a series of bosses with different abilities at the Boss Battle.
The game features a one-player World Trip Mode, which takes players to revisit the places of the “Kingdom Hearts” franchise and play its signature songs. You can also join hands with other players to challenge the same stages at the Double Play Mode.
One the other hand, the Nintendo Switch is also getting an exclusive “Free-For-All” mode which will allow up to eight participants in local multiplayer to face off.
The Museum collects all the records, story movies and illustrations from the previous “Kingdom Hearts” games.
