Today (26th Sept), LEVEL5 revealed new information for their previously announced mecha title, Megaton Musashi. The live-stream featured Akihiro Hino, LEVEL5 CEO and producer of Megaton Musashi, Toshihiko Kuriaki, Director of Megaton Musashi, and Toshiki Masuda, the voice actor of Yamato Ichidaiji. Megaton Musashi is slated for Nintendo Switch and PS4.
▍Mecha x School Life Story
Megaton Musashi revolves around Yamato Ichidaiji, a student, and his friends as they tackle school life and protect the world with mega-class robots called “Rogues” against aliens. The story is a crossover between mecha and school life.
▍Characters
■ Yamato Ichidaiji – CV: Toshiki Masuda
Yamato Ichidaiji is your typical troublemaker student. He is a very enthusiastic and hot-blooded character. His personality is amplified when he is piloting robots.
▍Customization
The game prides on “infinite combinations”, players will be able to customize their mechas from the four main body parts including the head, arms (left and right), and the legs. The game emphasizes the sheer size of each Rogue, from the customization, as you change parts, you will see steam that bursts out from just moving and changing the parts. In addition to the body parts, players can also equip melee/ranged weapons, Core Units, and Special Skills. Depending on the parts used, the Rogue will have different stats. Stats include Mobility, Closed-ranged Damage, Long-ranged Damage, Durability, Repair (リペアカ).
According to Akihiro Hino, LEVEL5 CEO and producer of Megaton Musashi, Different pilots will also have their own unique skills. there will also be special skills that players will have to collect through playing online.

The combat gameplay is a third-person action game. Players will be able to use their own personalized Rogues to fight against massive enemies.
