Fuji TV announces the production of an original TV anime “Bakuten!!” (バクテン!!) , which centers on a high school rhythmic gymnastics team. It will premiere in April 2021. A key visual, the 1st PV and the main cast are also revealed.

■ Shōtarō Futaba (双葉翔太郎) – CV: Shimba Tsuchiya (土屋神葉)
Shōtarō is a new member and first year student of the Ao High School Men’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. Born in Miyagi, he saw the performance of the Ao High School Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in junior school, and he was fascinated by rhythmic gymnastics ever. He jumped into the world of rhythmic gymnastics in high school and despite being an amateur, he grows rapidly with his straightforward personality.
■ Ryōya Misato (美里良夜) – CV: Kaito Ishikawa (石川界人)
Ryōya is also a new member and first year student of the Ao High School Men’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. He has a cool personality that always keeps him calm. He also keeps a distance from others intentionally. He has the ability to win in the men’s rhythmic gymnastics junior tournament, and is expected to be a young ace of the Gymnastics Club.
■ Masamune Shichigahama (七ヶ浜政宗) – CV: Daisuke Ono (小野大輔)
Masamune is the Captain of Ao High School Men’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. He is a passionate man and is said to be the most hot-blooded member in the Gymnastics Team. He is a childhood friend of Tsukidate and Onagawa.
■ Keisuke Tsukidate (築館敬助) – CV: Takashi Kondo (近藤隆)
Keisuke is the vice captain of the Ao High School Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. He is an all-rounder who gently follows the free spirited team member. His hobby is growing bonsai moss.
■ Nagayoshi Onagawa (女川ながよし) – CV: Hiro Shimono (下野紘)
He is a member of Ao high school boys rhythmic gymnastics club. He is the mood maker with a good personality that brightens the atmosphere of the club. He loves cute girls and idols, and has a habit of giving strange nicknames.
■ Kōtarō Watari (亘理光太郎) – CV: Hiroshi Kamiya (神谷浩史)
Kōtarō is a member of Ao high school boys rhythmic gymnastics club. His sharp eyes and pierced earrings often scare others, but he has a nice personality and takes good care of the juniors.
▍Synopsis
Shōtarō Futaba, who is fascinated by gymnastics after seeing it in his third year of middle school, joins the rhythmic gymnastics team of his new high school Sōshūkan High School, nicknamed “Ao High.” He makes a friend with his schoolmate Ryōya Misato, who earned fame as a gymnast during middle school. Their youth story revolving around rhythmic gymnastics starts now.

▍“Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10…” Initiaive
The anime, which is set in Miyagi prefecture, joins “Misaki no Mayoiga” and “Hula Fulla Dance “ as part of an initiative to promote Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima, respectively. The “Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10…” is in remembrance of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami 10 years ago.
