[Qoo News] “Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter” Live-Action Films Rescheduled to April 23 & June 4 After Delay

The live-action movies “Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter The Final/The Beginning” (るろうに剣心 最終章 The Final/The Beginning) has postponed its opening to 23rd April and 4th June 2021, respectively, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film 2nd teaser is revealed for the announcement.

The first part “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Final” was originally set to premiere in Japan on 3rd July 2020, while the second part “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Beginning” on 7th August 2020.

The first movie will feature the “Jinchū” arc and the second will tell the story of how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar.

The movie is directed by Keishi Ohtomo, who directs the first three movies of the “Rurouni Kenshin” live-action series. Takeru Satoh reprises his role as Himura Kenshin, together with Emi Takei as Kamiya Kaoru, Munetaka Aoki as Sagara Sanosuke, Yū Aoi as Megumi Takani. Riku Ohnishi is newly cast as Myōjin Yahiko. Yosuke Eguchialso returns as Hajime Saitō.

Mackenyu Arata plays as Enishi, one of the main antagonists of the series, who seeks revenge on Kenshin for killing his older sister. Kasumi Arimura will play the character Tomoe Yukishiro, who was Kenshin’s wife during his days as the assassin Battōsai.
