Today (10th December), Ao Oni’s official Twitter account posted a new announcement teasing a new mobile title for the Ao Oni series. The post reveals that the new title is expected to launch in December 2020 but does not go into specific details as to what the new title will be.
The announcement tweet also teases that the new title will have functions that tie-in with Ao Oni Online. By clearing specific stories in Ao Oni Online, players will be able to obtain special rewards in the new game.
About the Series
Ao Oni started as a free escape room horror game made using RPG Maker in 2004. Well-received for its grotesque scenes, it has been adapted to novels, movies, and anime.
