Tales of the Ray
テイルズ オブ ザ レイズ

鏡光傳奇01

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Combat effects are as empty as JoJo’s"
"Sure, Houkai 3rd raised the bar high, but isn’t this quality a little too lax?"
"Hmm, no need to jump to conclusions so soon. As a mobile ‘Tales of’ series title, it’s the closest one to the original style. Let’s try it a little more first."

The latest mobile title of the “Tales of”, Tales of The Ray has received a fair share of negative feedback, mainly complaining about how the game’s graphics aren’t good enough or the combat system is simply too plain, but its still better than the previous "Tales of" mobile titles.

The game has its an original story, and features a map search style gameplay with a combat system that stays true to the series. For those who are fans of the series, the game is definitely worth a try.

Knights Chronicle
ナイツクロニクル

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"If you have a White Knight then its GG, everything other than the White Knights are useless."
"A strong resemblance to Seven Knights, but I don’t hate it."
"Just a matter of competition. Compared to JoJo and Tales of The Ray, Knights Chronicle seems like a fun game."

Just like a younger brother living under the shadow of his older brother, Knights Chronicle lives under the shadow of Seven Knights. Although Netmarble made Knights Chronicle’s system quite similar to Seven Knights, they added a little more manual aspect to the combat system to give the game a little twist.

The art direction and character design of the game has a stronger Japanese style, combined with the great cast of renowned voice actors, is pretty much the imagined version of Seven Knights for the Japanese market.

Monster Breeder
モンスターブリーダー

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"This is Monster Farm (US: Monster Rancher) right?"
"Monster Farm is amazing, this game just doesn’t hold up to it."

Monster Breeder is based around the idea of breeding monsters. The game is a tribute to PS1’s Monster Rancher, for the mobile platform with an added in-app purchase system and somewhat improved graphics.

Even though the graphics are enhanced, the battle effects are really rushed, and jumpy at times, the improvements at best is only a small step. Adding the fact that the in-app purchases are just plain ridiculous and the 10x summon only guarantees one B rank or above (highest rank S), AND the fact that a fully maxed out B rank can essentially one shot an S rank, it’s not surprise that all the players are complaining.

Korokoro ōkami to Akazukin ~ Dōwa no Sekai de Ran Gēmu ~
コロコロオオカミと赤ずきん ~童話の世界でランゲーム~

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"SO CUTE!"
"The difficulty is quite high for a running game."
"The shape of the wolf gets me every time!"

A cutesy running game that pairs up Little Red Riding Hood with the Big “Round&quot Wolf. The game features no in-app purchases at all, players have to rely on their own skills to collect coins during each run.
