Japan’s Bank of Innovation’s new mobile RPG MementoMori opens for pre-registration today (20th Aug). The game’s official website details the story of the game and features MVs of songs performed by some of the voice cast, but no gameplay is revealed.
▍Story
There are girls who many call “witches.”
Although they themselves are ordinary, they can wield slightly extraordinary powers.
However, when calamity spreads throughout the land, witches begin to be feared and detested.
Before long, the Church of Longinus commenced what would be known as “The Witch Hunt.”
“Witches are to blame for this calamity. If we kill them, then the calamity will vanish along with them!”
Witches are executed one by one.
But one day, as madness seizes control of the world, it is suddenly overrun by “Curses.”
A country incinerated by hellfire. A kingdom consumed by crystals. An empire purged by the Tree of Life.
Such are the woeful desires of those who are called “Witches of Qlipha.”
Without any means to defend themselves, nation after nation falls into ruin, until finally—

Soltina – CV: Yoshino Nanjo
A girl as bright and cheerful as the sun who loves her older sister Lunalynn dearly. When the Inquisition attempted to capture Soltina, Lunalynn allowed herself to be taken in her younger sister’s stead. Soltina is now trying to save Lunalynn on her own, braving through the cursed ice that impedes her path.
Merlyn – CV: Rikako Aida
A girl known as “The Witch of the Deep Forest.” She blames herself for lacking the strength to save her dear master’s life. Since then, she has lived in solitude, afraid of getting close to anyone else. She dreams of mentoring an apprentice of her own one day, but this shy, nervous girl still has a long road ahead of her.
Belle – CV: Yuu Asakawa
A tomboy who has experienced the highs and lows of society. A little girl who does everything she can for her younger sister, Cerberus. After a horrific event separates them, Fenrir attempts to save her sister. But when fear takes over, preventing her from moving forward, a fateful encounter teaches her the true meaning of courage.
Carol – CV: Hina Tachibana
A girl who gained her magical powers at a great cost―all her memories disappear after only one week. Right before her memories fade away forever, she writes them down in her book. She is never without it, and reads through it day after day. She may even be writing about the new memories she experiences with you.

A brave girl who loves flowers. After her parents are murdered because of the Witch Hunt, she locks her heart away in grief. As one of the 10 “Witches of Qlipha” devastating the world, she has dragged her country to the brink of collapse,
invoking a Curse that withers the land with flowers.
A.A. – CV: Minori Chihara
A homunculus created in a research laboratory. Although she was born without human emotions, she gradually begins to understand them through the many interactions she has with her beloved professor. But in doing so, she also learns of the cruel emotion called “sadness.”
