Dragon Ball: The Breakers features a Dead by Daylight-like gameplay that requires the Breakers to form a team of seven — which can include Dragon Ball main characters Bulma, Oolong and more — against a single villain, such as Cell, Buu, and Frieza. The game is developed by Dimps, which also developed a number of video games for the Dragon Ball franchise, including Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission and Dragon Ball Xenoverse. An announcement trailer is also revealed to explain the concept.

The Survivors don’t have any superpowers and must rely on various power-up items, weapons, and pilotable vehicles to battle and evade the Raider while searching for the Super Time Machine to escape oblivion. Concurrently, the Raider will be able to play as Cell, Buu, or Frieza and amass overwhelming power to destroy the Survivor team throughout the match, ensuring complete dominance.
