The game systemis practically the same as those in the same genre except a combination skill system where players can use 2 special skills together by combining the”dorakeshi”. The game is fun and is suitable for those who are looking for a casual mobile game that you can start immediately without stress.
The players fight against the bosses with a timer on their head telling you when they will attack. As each stages have multiple enemies and each of them have different attacks. Strategies are need in each stages based on the features of each enemies.

Players can summon their favourite little monster erasers (Dorakeshi) from the Gacha system. Dorakeshi’s come in different rarities with 5-Star being the highest. All the characters are from the dragon quest universe who are turned into cute collectible eraser stylized characters. Each of them has its own special abilities and elements making them useful in different stages. Players can also level up their characters by gaining EXP in battles.

Though Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi has a simple gameplay, it do features a strategic elements like makes the stages more fun and versatile. Players can strategize their battles by using dorakeshi with stronger elements against the bosses. They can also use their in-game battle items like Potions to restore HP if it gets too low.
You can also combine their skills to do more damage. For example, if the player matched 3 weapons and 4 dorakeshi, they will get 1 weapon skill and 1 dorakeshi skill. They can further combine them both by dragging them to activate both of their skills, hence dealing more damage.
▍Lack of Story Obstructs the Experience
The story presents us before the owner of a bookstore called Stacy where she explains to us what are the basics of a game and how to use the different elements of the game. All the dialogues come in a 1-way pattern without voiced dialogues but only gestures. However, the game fails to presents its worldview and the lack of a story mode make it difficult to showcase the charms of the characters.

It has a fun engaging gameplay that provides a mixed experience of casual and strategic experience for players who required more. It’s also a pity that the game doesn’t have a multiplayer/ co-op mode, which can engage more players into its strategic gameplay. But Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi is definitely suitable for players who likes playing casually while traveling, waiting for someone, or just getting bored as the matches are quick and simple.
