At today’s Jump Festa 2022, the TV anime adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga series revealed a teaser visual, logo and special PV to kick off the celebration of its 20th anniversary in October 2022.
Naruto was serialized in Shueisha’s magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014, and released in 72 volumes. The manga was adapted into an anime television series produced by Pierrot and Aniplex, which broadcast 220 episodes in Japan from 2002 to 2007. Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel to the original series, premiered in Japan in 2007, and ended in 2017, after 500 episodes.
The special PV provides viewers a nostalgic trip revisiting the signature moment of the series, with the spotlight shedded on the complicated friendship between Naruto and Sasuke. While the teaser visual depicts the young Naruto sitting side by side with his future self, the Seventh Hokage, on a swing.

The stage event also revealed a new visual and promotional video of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime, which started airing on TV Tokyo in April 2017.
