Toho started streaming the official trailer for Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween, the 25th anime movie of Detective Conan franchise, which will open on April 15, 2022 in Japan.
The 60-second trailer highlights three years before the main story, when the franchise’s police academy characters; Rei Furuya, Jinpei Matsuda, Wataru Date, Kenji Hagiwara, and Hiromitsu Morofushi confront a certain incident. There are also scenes depicting Detective Sato teaming up with Matsuda, and a man in mysterious costumes.
Japanese composer Yugo Kanno will write the music for the anime film. Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween is directed by Haikyu!! anime director Susumu Mitsunaka and animated by TMS Entertainment.
The stage of the movie takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo, crowded with people who celebrate the Halloween festival. Dressed in a wedding dress, Detective Miwako Sato was found in a wedding ceremony held in Shibuya Hikarie. However, a thug suddenly attacks the wedding and detective Wataru Takagi is injured trying to protect Miwako.
At the same time, Jinpei Matsuda, the culprit of the consecutive bombing incident three years ago and schoolmates of Rei Furuya in the police academy, was broken from jail. Furuya succeeds in hunting down Matsuda’s relatives, but was attacked by a mysterious person and ends up in a collar bomb on his neck. After hearing about the incident, Conan struggles to release the bomb wrapped around Furuya’s neck.
