At the latest Pokémon Presents streamed on February 27, Nintendo announced that a free ‘Daybreak’ update is coming to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
In the new update, players will be investigating mysterious mass outbreaks of Pokémon that are popping up all over the Hisui region. Players will also have a chance to battle powerful opponents such as the Legendary Pokémon and wardens, which will add yet more options to your Pokémon battle experience.
*NOTE: The Daybreak update will be available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus after viewing the end-game credits once.

▍Massive Mass Outbreaks of Pokémon Reported in the Hisui Region
A mysterious phenomenon emerges in the Hisui region, where mass outbreaks of Pokémon appear accompanied by rainstorms. Players must investigate with Warden Mai of the Diamond Clan and her partner Munchlax the cause of this phenomenon, and you’ll also have a chance to catch Pokémon that are ordinarily difficult to find!
▍Aim for Greater Heights with Your Pokémon!
In this new update, you can take on new challenges at the training grounds in Jubilife Village. You’ll be able to take your battle skills even further by battling the wardens that you met during your travels or taking on challenging battles with difficult constraints: such as using only a single Pokémon. Are you able to beat them under those conditions?
▍Endure the Whims of Arceus in the Eternal Battle Reverie!
Once you complete all of the missions, you can meet Arceus in your dreams and try your hand at a challenge of strength called The Eternal Battle Reverie by sleeping at your quarters. These challenges will include lots of incredibly strong Pokémon that you must fight.
At times, you’ll battle in inconceivable situations like facing multiple Legendary Pokémon at once. How long of a win streak you can earn in this new challenge?
▍Take Cool Photographs!
All sorts of people will begin to visit the photography studio in Jubilife Village after you’ve cleared the game. Players will be able to take pictures with them, and can align them together and snap pictures to share them via social media.
▍Web Animated Series Coming in 2022!
That’s not all, however! The Pokémon Legends: Arceus game will have an online animated series set in the Hisui region. The series is set to debut in Japan on Early Summer 2022, with more details to be announced at a later date.
