Light novel and anime series Shakugan no Shana is getting a new mobile game, Shakugan no Shana Fuzetsu Battle R (灼眼のシャナ～封絶バトルR), in May this year. Produced and developed by Arc, it will be published on DMM GAMES and Android.
Th game is a successor to Shakugan no Shana Fuzetsu Battle, which is also a mobile spin-off of the series. Despite having a similar battle system, this new adaption will get a completely new story plus a school mode and a sports day mode. The voice of Shana is also newly recorded by Rie Kugimiya (釘宮 理恵).
Written by Yashichiro Takahashi (高橋 弥七郎), Shakugan no Shana centres on Yuji Sakai, a dead high school student who possesses a special power that leads the race of Crimson Denizen to go after him. He is then involved in a series of conflicts, but his encounter Shana, a Flame Blaze heroine who wields a katana, changes everything.
