Recently, in the company’s "Road to 2020" business presentation, SEGA revealed plans to revive major IPs from the past.
In the presentation, SEGA stressed their goals for the future. To increase their collection of IPs, SEGA will creating new IPs, purchase overseas IPs, and most importantly, reviving IPs that have previously been frozen.
What this means to gamers is that IPs that they have grown up with maybe coming back to greet them once again. In the Road to 2020 presentation, SEGA released a chart showing the results of a poll they conducted last year during the SEGA Fes which asked participants which one of SEGA’s IP do they want revived the most. Sakura Wars took first place with a whopping 2,457 votes, 972 votes more than Jet Set Radio which came second with 1,485 votes!
