▍Made In Abyss Binary Star – Story
Deep in Abyss tells an original story about you joining the Belchero Orphanage as a fledgling “Bell” Cave Raider. You make fast friends with the mode’s three other students, Raul, Tiara, and Dorothea. One day after all four of you have earned the title of Red Whistle, you set out to explore the abyss, unaware of the harsh reality that awaits you…
▍ Made In Abyss Binary Star – Game Loop
In Deep in Abyss, players begin the game as a new cave raider and experience an original story through the game’s main quest. While in the Abyss, players can also collect relics and complete various quests to earn experience and money. Once you have earned enough experience and skills, you will be given permission to travel deeper into the Abyss, where more wonders, and horrors await.
▍ Made In Abyss Binary Star – Preparation is key
Preparation is vital for your adventures, as once you head in, there’s nothing there to aid you until you come back out. As a Red Whistle, you will earn most of your jobs from Jiruo at the orphanage, until you are experienced enough to receive more assignments from other people.
The town of Orth from Made in Abyss is the main hub and headquarters of the raiders. Here you can access the Guild HQ to accept quests, or check out the Supply Shop to purchase essentials like pickaxes, clothes, consumables, ropes, and many weapons. Once you have completed your journey into the Abyss, you can bring the relics you brought back to the Relic Appraisal store to trade them in for money and experience. Fans of the series will also know that food is an essential item to the Abyss lest you eat something you shouldn’t have, and you can find these at Laffi’s store for spices, and a variety of food items.
▍ Made In Abyss Binary Star – Raiding the Abyss
The Abyss is where the bulk of Deep in Abyss takes place in. Players will complete main objectives such as searching for items, defeating enemies, and many more while down in this uncharted land.
Something to keep an eye on when in the Abyss, is your stamina and fullness. All of the actions your character takes consume some stamina and fullness. While stamina recovers automatically, fullness will not recover unless you eat, and when fullness reaches zero, your stamina cannot recover at all. Make sure you finish the mission or bring some extra food with you in preparation.
As a game all about exploration and gathering, your backpack, health, and item durability are also incredibly important. The more you carry on your person, the harder it is to perform certain actions, and you don’t want your pickaxe breaking when you’re about to mine an important item. Keep an eye on all of these things as you make your way down the Abyss, or risk carrying even more items for a bigger reward.
▍ Made In Abyss Binary Star – Returning From the Abyss
Once you complete your objectives, it’s best to head back as soon as possible. But the further you head down into the Abyss, the “The Curse of the Abyss” becomes stronger. Your character may experience horrifying side effects from vomiting, spewing blood from their body, and taking a huge penalty to their health, stamina, and fullness. Not to mention the myriad of creatures down in the Abyss.
Make sure you keep an eye out on everything in the area, lest you find out the hard way that getting out, can be harder than getting in. Consider all ways to exit out of the Abyss as you make your way out, or you’ll take a huge penalty for dying when in the Abyss.
