Kujira Anan’s romance manga, And Yet, You Are So Sweet (Na no ni, Chigira-Kun ga Amasugiru) is getting a live-action movie that is debuting in theaters on March 3, 2023.
High school student Maaya Kisaragi, 16 years old finally worked up the courage to confess to her crush, only to be rejected and ridiculed on social media. While muttering and despondent about the whole ordeal, first-year student Sui Chigira overhears her, and proposes she gets out of her predicament by having one-sided feelings for him! The story follows as the two play pretend to be lovers, with their relationship developing over time.
Takehiko Shinjō is directing the film, Haruka Ōkita on script writing, and Shochiku is distributing the film. The film features actors Mei Hata as Maaya Kisaragi, and Kyohei Takahashi as Sui Chigira, pictured below.

He explains that in order to get her mind off the guy that rejected her, she should develop one-sided feelings for him, or at least pretend so that her mind wouldn’t wander back. Not sure if he has any ulterior motives, Maaya Kisagari goes along with it anyway, quickly feeling attached to Chigira after he helps her out of numerous scenarios.
