In celebration of Pokemon GO’s one-year anniversary and the amazing milestone of 750 million global downloads, Pokemon Go will bring a series events starting with the Solstice Event.
Starting 13th June, the Solstice Event will kick-off. Players around the world will experience an influx of Fire-Type and Ice-Type Pokemon, increased XP bonuses for accurate Poke Ball throws and discounted Lucky Eggs in the in-game store.
The Pokemon GO Team has also announced the very first real-life Pokemon GO event, Pokemon GO Fest Chicago, which will take place in downtown Chicago, Illinois at the Grant Park on 22nd July 2017. Tickets for the event will be available starting 9th June, 10:00 PDT online!
Following the Pokemon GO Fest Chicago, from June to September, there will be Pokemon Go celebrations in Europe hosted in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers.
And finally, in Yokohama, Japan, a Pikachu Outbreak is being organized for August!
