The popular fanmade game based on Hololive, HoloCure unveiled details and a release date for its first major update!
The update, teased on Twitter showcases the new map, the Hololive offices from Hologra, and several new characters, including Hololive’s Sakura Miko, Hoshimachi Suisei, AZKi, Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio, Nekomata Okayu, Inugami Korone, Roboco, and Tokino Sora! The update also adds new items to the Shop, along with unlockable alternate outfits for the idols, new weapons, and several new enemies based on the fanbase!
HoloCure is a fan-made game inspired by Vampire Survivors and made by fans of Hololive and designed by Kay Yu, an artist and animator who worked as a Key Animator for Sword Art Online, Castlevania, Mushoku Tensei, River City Girls, and also animated the MV for the song “[Q]” by Calliope Mori and Gawr Gura!
Holocure’s new update arrives on September 9. You can get the game on PC here.
▍New Playable Holomems!
Several new idols have been added to the game, including Sakura Miko, Hoshimachi Suisei, AZKi, Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio, and Nekomata Okayu, Inugami Korone, Roboco, and Tokino Sora! Check out their new attacks below! Though unfortunately, the teaser didn’t show Korone in action, with her Korone-sukis in the game, you’ll just have to play it to see her yourself!
▍Shop and Content Update
You can now choose alternate outfits for your idols in-game, such as Ina’s artist outfit. Outfits don’t seem to affect the character’s stats, meaning it’s purely cosmetic. At the moment it seems there’s only one outfit for some idols, and probably each of them has special unlock conditions, so there’s more for you to look forward to!
The shop has also been updated with several new items and what looks like even more levels for existing upgrades, with the weapon attack up upgrade now having additional yellow levels, and new modifiers to add to your games!
▍About HoloCure
HoloCure is a fan game designed by Kay Yu and made by fellow Hololive fans. The game features gameplay similar to Vampire Survivors. The game features members from Hololive’s English talent, including Holomyth and HoloCouncil, as well as several enemies based on the fanbases of these talents and more.
Players control their chosen character, trying to survive for up to 30 minutes while defeating as many enemies as they can, wracking up a high score, and collecting money which can be used to obtain upgrades, new characters, and more! The game doesn’t have an ending but there is a global leaderboard for you to compete with other players around the world for the highest score!
