The Expanse: A Telltale Series Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Summer 2023

At the Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live showcase, developer Telltale Games shared further information and the first gameplay trailer of The Expanse: A Telltale Series, which is expected to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the Summer of 2023.

The world premiere introduced several new gameplay elements that go beyond what people experienced with past Telltale games, such as the fact that players have greater authority over the action. The ability to communicate with the crew over the radio at the player’s discretion keeps the plot and dialogue choices moving forward simultaneously with the player’s exploration, and all those character interactions affect the story’s conclusion.

Set before the TV series, which concluded at the start of this year, the game stars Camina Drummer. After her introduction in the show’s second season, Drummer, played by actress Cara Gee in both the TV series and upcoming game, went on to become a fan-favorite character over subsequent seasons.

According to Matt Saia, the vice president of creative for Telltale Games, The Expanse world is rich with complex characters that grow and change, so it’s a wellspring of compelling stories and difficult choices that players will have to make.

About The Expanse: A Telltale Series

The Expanse is Telltale Game’s first new IP announced by Telltale since the company re-formed in 2019. In this game, players take on the role of Camina Drummer, the leader of a scavenging crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt.

Players must work with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt, and, most of all, make tough decisions that will decide the fate of The Artemis crew.
