The fighting anime adapted from Yabako Sandrovich’s fighting manga, Kengan Ashura is getting a second season in 2023. The release window for the anime was announced on the series’ official Twitter, along with a new teaser visual featuring the duo Ohma Tokita and Kazuo Yamashita.
Kengan Ashura’s second season is scheduled to debut sometime in 2023.
▍Kengan Ashura Story
Since as early as the 1600s, all over Japan gladiatorial arenas have been held where wealthy businessmen hire fighters in unarmed combat, with the winning business taking everything from the competitor. One day an average salary man, Kazuo Yamashita witnesses a street brawl go down in an alley, where he sees the young fighter Ohma Tokita decimates his opponent. Ohma Tokita is then scouted out by the Nogi group CEO, Nogi Hideki to fight for his company, after unknowingly defeating the Nogi Group’s previous fighter. Yamashita has also dragged along his manager due to witnessing the fight.
What proceeds then is his inclusion into the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, a tournament held by the largest CEO’s in japan, to claim the seat of the Kengan Association CEO, holding immense sway over the businesses of Japan, and huge prestige. Can Ohma claw his way to the top, and what will he learn about himself amidst all this gruesome combat?
