Aquaplus released a new 5-minute gameplay trailer for Gizoku Tantei Nosuri / The Great Detective Nosuri, a detective spin-off title based on the Utawarerumono visual novel series!
The title features the titular Nosuri, a flamboyant self-made thief who is known as something of a Robin Hood figure among the people, stealing from the rich and giving back to the poor. This time however Nosuri is on the case as a detective, uncovering the mystery behind a great evil that threatens to endanger the safety of the Capital, with you as Haku by her side picking up clues, questioning people, and patting down others for evidence to help you make your case!
Gizoku Tantei Nosuri launches for the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch as a digital title on December 22 in Japan.

It seemed like nothing at first. Haku, the protagonist of Utawarerumono was enjoying a busy life in the imperial capital of Yamato, where peaceful times seemed like they would be here to stay.
One day, however, one of his friends detected something was amiss and began to investigate further. And where there’s trouble afoot, she’s there, as the Great Detective Nosuri is on the case! Now as the curtain rises on a grand mystery, it’s up to Nosuri and her partner Haku to uncover the truth behind a mystery that could threaten all of the capital, and ruin the hard-fought peace!
▍Gizoku Tantei Nosuri Gameplay
Gizoku Tantei Nosuri is a detective and deduction game, with the goal of uncovering a mystery through pure detective work in an era without much technology!
As you encounter the various characters from Utawarerumono, you’ll be able to inspect and interrogate them, learning about what they’ve been up to and gathering clues they are willing to share with you on your quest for truth.
Sometimes if you notice a discrepancy or odd behaviour from them, you can conduct a routine body check and pat them down! Inspect the characters in full 3D as you find evidence on their body, implicating them in crimes or just finding out what they were recently up to.
As you progress through the game Nosuri will come up with deductions, this is where you can gather up all of your clues and evidence so far, to help Nosuri unravel the growing mystery! This is done with several thought bubbles around Nosuri, reminding you of previous events so far, while also letting you check on the backlog of things said by the characters and what you have found.
The game also contains a gallery mode with the various characters, allowing you to inspect their models in 3D along with changing their poses and setting up backgrounds to make some new shots for you to keep on your device, or make new wallpapers out of.
