The upcoming mobile remakes of Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis released a new trailer, but unfortunately also announced its Closed Beta Test which was planned for a 2022 window, has been delayed to Summer 2023.
The new trailer for the game previews quite a lot of the game’s systems, from picking which storyline you want to play off of whether its the original FFVII or Crisis Core, how the story mode’s cutscenes are stylised before you go into the game’s combat which is in much more detail.
We also got to see that Ever Crisis is a gacha game, with the draw feature visible on the main menu and unique costumes or variations for the characters.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a mobile real-time RPG set in the universe of the Final Fantasy VII series. The game is an episodic series with battles and events from FFVII and Crisis Core. Players can play through either story at any time by swapping from the main menu and experiencing an abridged version of those game’s stories from beginning to end. Certain story chapters won’t be available on launch and will be added later as updates.
The game will also feature new original story exploring the untold the past and origins of characters like Sephiroth.
▍Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Gameplay
Ever Crisis looks to be a real-time auto-battling RPG with characters attacking foes by themselves, but aside from that, you’ll be the one dictating their actions from whether they should go on the offensive, or defensive. You can also dictate what special moves they use during battle through a charge meter.
Certain moves require the charge meter to be filled up to a certain level, then you can tap on a set of abilities you’ve assigned to a character to unleash a flashy and powerful attack.
