Binary Haze and Adglobe, publishers and developers of Ender Lilies revealed a new strategy RPG game called Redemption Reapers while also revealing its first trailer.
Redemption Reapers is being worked on by a team of industry veterans including Masayuki Horikawa who was the Fire Emblem series director and level designer and worked on Kingdom Hearts 3 planning.
When hope in the lands is snuffed out by the appearance of the monstrous Mort armies, nations begin to fall and armies are weakened from the enemy’s nightly raids. In a bid to combat the foe, the Ashen Hawk Brigade, a band of mercenaries specializing in guerilla warfare and surprise tactics are tasked to fight against the invaders. Fight your enemies in 3D maps and employ strategy to overcome overwhelming odds, slipping in sneak attacks and devastating combo moves.
Redemption Reapers is set to launch for PC via Steam in February 2023, with English and Japanese voice-over options and in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Korean language support.
▍Redemption Reapers Gameplay
As a strategy RPG, you will be commanding the Ashen Hawk Brigade across various levels through the streets, valleys, forests, and enemy encampments. Each brigade member has their own attack specialities and ranges that you will need to take into account when battling the enemy who has significantly more numbers than you do.
But you can level the playing field with pure strategy. By positioning your characters in advantageous spots you can take advantage of height differences, obscured areas and attack an enemy together to deal huge amounts of damage, turning them into non-threats.
You can also upgrade the members with gear as you find loot throughout stages, earn money and unlock combat abilities, turning a ragtag group of mercenaries into champions.
