[Qoo News] Bandai Namco Introduces New Characters in Code Vein

Bandai Namco has released today (20th July) new details for their upcoming ARPG Code Vein, introducing Mia Karnstein and Yakumo Shinonome.

17072010445170 — **Mia Karnstein (voiced by Ai Kayano)** – A wandering female Revenant is wandering in the land called “Vein.” She is accompanied by her younger brother, only family she has left, whom she will do anything to protect. Her weapon of choice is a bayonet-styled weapon that can be used to attack at a distance.

17072010450480 — **Yakumo Shinonome (voiced by Kousuke Toriumi) –** A Revenant and former mercenary, Yakumo is a faithful man who is good at taking care of others. He is loved by others and conducts himself in a cool and professional manner during combat.

Code Vein is set in a ruined world. After the “Thorns of Judgement” pierced the Earth’s crust, almost all of mankind was wiped away, leaving only a closed society known as “Veins” and those known as “Revenants” who made a large sacrifice in order to survive.

The Revenants have supernatural abilities which came at a cost of losing the majority of their memory. They are able to retain their humanity by sucking blood. Without the supply of blood, Revenants gradually lose their humanity turning into monsters known as “Lost”.

Code Vein is due out in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
