This long-awaited third installment of season pass content sees Jack and his allies’ adventures through time and space draw to a close. Guided by an enigmatic Moogle spirit, Jack and his allies travel to a city in another dimension.
This city is called Central, housing Lufenians that use this place to observe the many worlds and dimensions in the FF franchise. Yet it only takes the machinations of one mad Lufenian to bring it all to ruin. Jack strides deep into the heart of this ghostly city to break the fetters of this karmic juggernaut once and for all.
■ New Characters
The Emperor
The Emperor plans to take over the world, using all the magic and monsters at his disposal to do so, and his heart is set on the power of the crystals and chaos. The Emperor’s design is a callback to Emperor Mateus from Final Fantasy II.
Moogle
A spirit who comes to Jack and his allies for help in saving Lufenia from interdimensional interference and fixing a broken future.
■ Story
A darkly deluded Lufenian who interferes with dimensions. Driven by a desire to restore the world to its former order and beauty, she summons otherworldly weapons from dimensional distortions with the aim of eradicating not just Jack, but the world itself.
Omega, an interdimensional weapon with the power to destroy gods. This powerful recurring enemy from the Final Fantasy series hunts down Jack with a plethora of deadly attacks, including a move that can petrify Jack, and a violent attack called Wave Cannon that attacks multiple times.
■ Enemies
The Emperor appears before Jack and his allies, and he is hot on the trail of the Moogle. His motives for coming to this dimension are different from the Lufenian, and he seems to have no intention of teaming up.
The Emperor comes with a wide array of attacks and summons, such as a specter that attacks for him, and he can also summon monsters like Gigas, Coeurls, and other beasts to do his bidding. He also has an attack called Thirst for Chaos, which summons a number of orbs around the players before exploding.
■ New Jobs
Musketeer
A new job focusing solely on the use of fire arms. This class with a deadly aim can unleash an attack with its Job Action called “stun bullet”, which gives you just enough time to perform an unblockable attack on the enemy.
Hunter
The hunter can use the Job Action Analyze, causing a counter to appear above an enemy when you attack them. The higher the counter, the weaker the enemy’s resistances become, and you can strike weak points more easily.
Gambler
As you’d expect from the Gambler, you can spin a roulette wheel and then instantly use two abilities chosen at random from the wheel. Opt for this job if you want to let lady luck do its thing, and if you’re lucky, score big damage.
■ Blacksmith Features
With the new expansion, you can also use imitation materials as a substitute for other items when it comes to upgrading or synthesizing new items, reducing the need to farm certain enemies.
You will also be able to replicate equipment using imitation and blacksmith materials, letting you duplicate chaos effects for use on other gear.
