Bethesda Softworks announced that Ghostwire: Tokyo, the first-person action adventure developed by Tango Gameworks, officially arrives Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store on PC on April 12, 2023. The game will also be added to Game Pass at that same day. Up until now, the game was exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
In addition to this release, a new free update “Spider’s Thread” has also been announced. The DLC adds a new game mode in which players must complete 30 levels of trials consisting of more than 130 newly created levels to reach the deepest level.
But be careful! If you’re defeated during a run in the Spider’s Thread, you’ll have to start back from the beginning, but with a portion of your skills retained. In addition, more location will be available in Ghostwire: Tokyo such as the bizarre Middle School, a new Photo Mode, and enhanced skills .
In addition to the new missions, the major update also brings more extended story cutscenes, granting players more character interaction and insight into the plot as they play through Akito and KK’s journey to stop the menacing Hannya. If the Horror’s too much for you however, a new option toggle to reduce the horror will be implemented, which will replace certain psychic effects with adorable SHIIBUYA HACHI stickers!
