After 12 years of the TV anime seres,  the story of Renton and Eureka is going to be told in a new perspective in Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution. Produced by the series’ original staff, including Director Tomoki Kyoda, Sceenwriter Dai Sato, and Character Designer Kenichi Yoshida, the new story is divided into three movies. In OTAKON 2017, one of the most popular anime event in North America, Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution 1 finally held its world premiere.

The premiere gathered about 1,000 fans. Director Tomoki Kyoda took over the stage after the movie ended. He attracted a long queue of fans who wished to get his autograph.

At the event, it was announced that the movie will be available in America, England, France, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Korean, Germany and many other regions. Fans commented, “everything I like about Eureka is in the movie. The action is good throughout the entire movie. I am looking forward to the second and the third one”, while some thought the movie is “artistic”, and said “great! There are a lot of flashback. I am glad I know more about the characters’ background now, especially Renton’s”.

Tomoki Kyoda’s Comment

“This is the first time the movie is shown to the world. I am happy and touched that we are welcome in Washington. This is a fresh and exciting experience, as I had only witnessed reactions from Japanese staff and personnel before. Please look forward to the trilogy even if you were not here today.”

Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution will premiere on 16th September in Japan.
