Taito’s classic games mobile port project TAITO CLASSICS has released the fifth game, Takeshi’s Challenge (たけしの挑戦状), today (15th August) for iOS/Android for JPY 120.
Takeshi’s Challenge was initially release for FC in 1986. The game is a side-scrolling adventure game that puts players in the role of an ordinary office worker exploring the streets of Tokyo.
The new mobile port will feature a new America stage which will include Broadway and a Poker Tower which is said to be the place where many celebrities live. Players may be able to meet a celebrity if they reach the top of the tower! The new zone will feature new background music from Taito sound team’s ZUNATA.
Asides from the main game, players can take the Hintabo Language Certification Test. Players will be able to measure their ability of the Hintabo language, the language of the Hintabo Island people in the game. Players will be graded from 1 to 10. Players will be able to share their results via social media.
