It looks like Japanese game companies just can’t stop leaking their game trailers, as Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have seemingly accidentally leaked the release date for Fate/Samurai Remnant in Japan in a now private video that was uploaded to PlayStation Japan’s Twitter account.
The new trailer previews the game’s hack-and-slash gameplay, along with characters like the game’s protagonist Miyamoto Iori, their Servant, the Berserker-class Musashi Miyamoto, and even non-Japanese figures like Jeanne D’Arc Alter who seems to be appearing as a boss fight, and many more new servants.
While this trailer shows the game’s Japanese release date on September 28 for PS4 and PS5, Fate/Samurai Remnant is slated for release worldwide, and will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

▍Fate/Samurai Remnant Gameplay
Fate/Samurai Remnant is an action RPG and hack-and-slash game where you primarily take on the perspective of Miyamoto Iori, Musashi Miyamoto’s adopted son.
The game is split into different sections, like letting you walk around towns to talk to its NPCs and purchase items, and the game’s combat were you’ll be cutting down the undead, and fighting against the other servants in a new Holy Grail War known as the Waxing Moon Ritual.
In this story, Miyamoto Iori is the master of an unknown samurai servant. The game places an emphasis on the bond the pair share, as this servant can help Iori out in traversal by vaulting them over high walls, and doing tag-team attacks during combat.
The game features of course some familiar faces, including that of Musashi Miyamoto, a figure Iori recognizes as his teacher, though whether or not he’s basing off that her fighting style, or actually knows her is unknown, as in this game Musashi seems to appear as a Berserker-class servant without a master since she can be controlled by the player and helps out Iori.
Other faces including Jeanne D’arc Alter and other new unnamed servants to be introduced to the player, with even characters like Jeanne boasting new weapons from her FGO counterpart, wielding two spears rather than her flag and sword.
