Naruto Returns with a New 4-Episode Anime Series Debuting on September 9

Marking the 20th anniversary of the Naruto anime based on Masashi Kishimoto’s manga, a new 4-episode anime series will premiere on September 3 for four consecutive weeks. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and the opening and ending themes of the series were also unveiled.

The anime adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s renowned manga began broadcasting in 2002. The series, which follows the adventures of young ninja Naruto Uzumaki, initially ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014 and has garnered worldwide acclaim.

The teaser visual features the young Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi. The opening theme song will be a 20th-anniversary version of Flow’s song “GO!!!”, while the ending theme song will be a cover of Orange Range’s “Viva★Rock” (ビバ★ロック).

Keigo from Flow expressed his delight about the collaboration, remarking that their encounter with the series was an important milestone in their musical journey. He also highlighted the band’s excitement about performing live for Naruto fans across Japan and the world, expressing his joy at being part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations.

To coincide with the new series and the anniversary celebration, a special music event will take place on September 2 and 3 at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall. The two-day event will feature performances by a range of artists, including Kana-Boon, Chico, and Flow.
