At today’s Pokémon Presents live stream, the Pokémon Company and Game Freak unveiled more details surrounding the upcoming downloadable content for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, together with two new trailers. Set for a release on September 13, the DLC will bring legendary pokémon Mew and Mewtwo to the Paldea region.
The first part of “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” DLC will see players embarking on a unique adventure to the land of Kitakami. In this journey, players participate in an outdoor study program, a collaboration between the academy and another educational institution.
While exploring Kitakami, players have the opportunity to encounter Pokémon species previously undiscovered in the Paldea region. The crux of the story revolves around delving into an ancient Kitakami folktale, with its associated myths and mysteries. Players can also anticipate the release of Part 2: The Indigo Disk later this winter, though specific details remain unknown at this time.
From August 8 to September 18, players can also join the “Get Mew & Mewtwo!” event and secure Mew for their rosters by inputting the password GETY0URMEW in the game’s Mystery Gift menu. Moreover, from September 1 until September 18, a unique Tera Raid Battle event will be held. During this event, trainers can confront and potentially catch a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark.
