Koei Tecmo’s action title Attack on Titan 2 (進撃の巨人 2) revealed at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2017 that it will be released on four platforms, including PS4, PSV, Switch and Steam. It is coming in early 2018.
In the stage event, the developer explained the five advancements the new Attack on Titan game has.
▍3DMG
Like the previous game, the gameplay involves a lot of moving around with 3DMG. The coming game will give 3DMG more functions, providing players with more choices during battle.
▍Higher difficulty
The titans in the sequel will become much more sensitive to players’ movement, and thus the difficulty is higher compared to the last game.
▍New story
The game’s plot follows what happen in the seocnd season of the anime. Also, players’ choices will affect the ending.
▍Playable characters
There will be a lot more playable characters, but the exact number and identity are yet to be revealed.
▍Character interaction
The first game has very limited interaction between players’ character and non player characters. Conversations can only be done during quests and the main plot. Soon, players will be able to talk to the characters they like anytime they want. The conversations are also more faithful to the original manga.
