▍Monsters vs. Companions
Monsters are the bodyguards of your dungeon. They’ll protect your dungeon from your enemies with all their might. The stronger your monsters, the better of a chance they’ll have in protecting dungeons from raids. Monsters are unable to die but just like you, they have emotions. Like companions, they share rankings and levels but differ in obvious uses as you can’t take monsters to battle. Trusting them to defend the sacred of all belongings as you venture out to discover new land, keeping them close just like your companions.
▍Capturing Monsters
There are two ways you can recruit monsters:
■ Greeting – Increasing a monster’s intimacy will raise the likelihood of capturing when battled. Greeting will also increase the intimacy on an area which will then increase the likelihood of finding more monsters in that area. The following levels of intimacy are Very Wary, Wary, Familiar, Close, and Trusting.
■ Battling – Clicking on the “Capture” tab will prompt a battle of up to five monsters. Depending the level of the monster and the difficulty of the area where the monster was encountered, will affect the number of monsters and levels of the opposing team. The higher the level of a monster, the more likely to face an opposing team of up to five high-leveled monsters. Build your team accordingly for a chance to capture if victorious!
▍Upgrading
■ Common → Uncommon → Rare → Ancient → Legendary → Immortal → Mythic.
Monsters share the same grades as companions when upgrading. Just like upgrading companions, a monster’s combat stats will increase per upgrade up to a maximum of +10. Only monsters of the same kind can be used as upgrade material except for monsters not having to share combat + level. Meaning a + level monster can be used with a non + leveled monster until it reaches the maximum + level. Upgrading monsters requires gold and essence that increases per upgrade.
▍Upgrading Skills
Skills of monster vary per grade and element. These skills offer a various of effects that may aid a single unit or the entire party in battle. Upgrading skills require meeting upgrade situations which will be listed. Combat books will be required which can be obtained Facility Disassembler, shop, and other areas that will be listed when clicked on.
Prioritize on upgrading a monster’s skills aside from combat levels. Always having plenty of monsters at bay for future dungeons is preferable than struggling to having none to station. A single monster in a dungeon is better than an empty one, no matter how weak it may be!
▍Obtaining Essence
■ Red Essence: Used for upgrading Combat companions.
■ Green Essence: Used for upgrading Exploration companions.
■ White Essence: Used for upgrading Station Companions.
■ Purple Essence: Used for upgrading Monsters.
■ Blue Essence: Used for crafting items.
Purple Essence can be obtained from quarries, which you will find during your explorations but just like essences and quarries, these are rare to come across by. There’s another way to obtaining essence! This requires releasing your monsters back into the wild. The amount of purple essence obtained from releasing monsters depends on the following monster’s grade. The higher the grade, the more purple essence that can be recovered. Up to six monsters can be released at a time.
