Ongoing TV anime Hakyu Hoshin Engi has collaborated with GMO Internet to make a mobile game, Hakyu Hoshin Engi: Senkai Chronicle (覇穹 封神演義 ~センカイクロニクル~). Pre-registration is now open.
Senkai Chronicle is said to be a “hardworking protagonist RPG” set around the time Taikobo receives the task to execute the Houshin Project. In the adventure part, players are able to read interactive stories and enjoy anime-style illustrations. Details about the battle system are not available, but apparently all characters appear as chibi in this part.
Originally a manga created by Ryu Fujisaki (藤崎 竜) and serialised on Weekly Shonen Jump during 1996-2000, Hoshin Engi is inspired by Chinese literature Fengshen Yanyi. The story focuses on Taikobo and his task to restore peace in the late In Dynasty of China.
The release date of Hakyu Hoshin Engi: Senkai Chronicle is not yet confirmed.
