Fate/Grand Order has just released a new spin-off game, Fate/Grand Order Quest (FGO Quest), on mobile. Different from the original, FGO Quest is a 2D “field exploration RPG”.
FGO Quest shares a system similar to Square Enix’s Dragon Quest franchise. Players progress through the story by selecting different commands. There is a directional pad on the left, a “confirm” button on the far right side and a cancel button next to it. Character stats are located at the top of the screen.
Before starting off, players can choose to be either Gudao or Gudako. The nickname must be written in four Japanese characters.
This time Gudao/Gudako sets off on a journey to defeat the demon king. A wide variety of servants are featured in the game as enemies. Defeating them will gain experience as well as QP that can be traded for items.
FGO Quest will not be available after April 1st 2019. Happy April fools’ Day!
