A TV anime adaptation is confirmed for SIU’s Korean popular digital comic “Tower of God” (신의 탑) and is scheduled to premiere this Spring in Japan. A key visual has been revealed for the announcement.
Though not much has been revealed for the adaptation, it is said to be animated by a Japanese animation studio during the Seoul Comic Con event.
▍About “Tower of God”
Tower of God is a webtoon written and drawn by Lee Jong-hwi (이종휘), also known by the pen-name SIU (Slave. In. Utero). It started in 2010, and is edited by and released for free on Naver Webtoon. It has later been translated into Japanese and English by Naver.
The story centers around a boy called Twenty-Fifth Bam, who has spent most of his life trapped beneath a vast and mysterious Tower, with only his close friend, Rachel, to keep him company. When Rachel enters the Tower, Bam manages to open the door into it as well, and faces challenges at each floor of this tower as he tries to find his closest companion.
