The TV anime adaptation of Kei Ohkubo’s (大久保圭) seinen manga “Arte” (アルテ) recently revealed a new visual and PV. The anime is confirmed to premiere in 4th April.

▍Story
In the first 16th century’s Florence, Italy, Arte is the only daughter of the noble but decadent Spalletti household. Since childhood, Arte has proved being blessed with an unusual talent for painting, but when her father dies, her mother forces her to put her love for arts apart and find a noble young man to marry as soon as possible, in order to save the Spallettis from ruin.
Arte, however, refuses to give up her dreams and going against any common sense and time beliefs she starts searching for a master painter to go working for, hoping to become one day a master painter herself.
Her strong determination ultimately catches the attention of the young but well-known painter Leo, which finally accepts her as her apprentice. Unfortunately, Arte ends up really soon to fall in love with Leo, at the point of being forced to choose between her dreams and love.

▍Staff and Theme Songs
The series is animated by Seven Arcs and directed by “The Prince of Tennis” anime series director Takayuki Hamana (濱名孝行), with “Digimon Adventure” and “K-On!” script writer Reiko Yoshida (吉田玲子) handling series composition and Chieko Miyakawa (宮川智恵子) designing the characters.
Voice actress Maaya Sakamoto (坂本 真綾) performs the series’ opening theme song “Clover”, while the anime cast, Kiyono Yasuno (安野 希世乃) will perform the series’ ending theme song “Hare Moyō”.
