A second season is confirmed for the TV anime adaptation of Paru Itagaki’s (板垣巴留) shonen manga “BEASTARS” in 2021. Two new casts and their character designs are also revealed.
▍New Cast and Characters Designs
■ Ibuki (イブキ) – CV: Taiten Kusunoki (楠大典)
He was a member of the Shishigumi group. He is intelligent and loyal towards his boss and comrades.
■ Free (フリー) – CV: Subaru Kimura (木村昴)
He is an active member of the Shishigumi group. He is an indian lion with a scar on his face, possibly obtained during one of his struggles with his or another criminal group.
▍Story
Six months after the notorious incident where an alpaca is brutally murdered and devoured in the school, Legoshi vowed to protect Haru and the other herbivore, though his carnivore instinct continues to shake him.
On the other hand,the once destroyed Shishigumi group rises with a new boss, and put new challenges to Legoshi and his friends.
▍Staff and Production
Cast and staff will reprise their roles from the first season. The anime is animated by CG studio Orange. “Thurdercats” supervising director Shinichi Matsumi (松見 真一) returns to direct the series, with Nanami Higuchi (樋口 七海) handling series composition.
